{"id":530,"date":"2012-06-20T16:29:25","date_gmt":"2012-06-20T16:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.arg.tech\/?p=530"},"modified":"2012-06-20T16:29:25","modified_gmt":"2012-06-20T16:29:25","slug":"toast-an-aspic-implementation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arg.tech\/index.php\/toast-an-aspic-implementation\/","title":{"rendered":"TOAST: An ASPIC+ implementation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/toast\/\">TOAST<\/a> calculates acceptability semantics of structured argumentation frameworks.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the work on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/?page_id=168\">Dialectical Argumentation Machines<\/a> project, we have implemented a version of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.staff.science.uu.nl\/~prakk101\/\">Prakken<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.uu.nl\/groups\/IS\/archive\/henry\/aspicAF.pdf\">ASPIC+ framework<\/a>. The application allows computation of various acceptability semantics over structured argumentation systems, making use of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/?page_id=279\">Dung-O-Matic<\/a> engine designed for abstract frameworks.<\/p>\n<p>The system is deployed as a web service, with a demonstration interface available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/toast\/\">http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/toast\/<\/a>. A help page, with details of the syntax used, can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/toast\/help\/web\">http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/toast\/help\/web<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/toast\/help\/api\">API<\/a> for programmatic access to the web service is also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arg.dundee.ac.uk\/toast\/help\/api\">available<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The reference to go with it is:<\/p>\n<p>Snaith, M. &amp; Reed, C. It&#8217;s also providing an evaluation back-end to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.AIFdb.org\">AIFdb<\/a>.
