It forms a part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.uu.nl\/people\/henry\/\">Henry Prakken<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.uu.nl\/staff\/gv.html\">Gerard Vreeswijk<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ai.rug.nl\/~verheij\/\">Bart Verheij<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.uu.nl\/research\/projects\/evidence\/project_description.html\">Making Sense of Evidence<\/a> project, on which Chris is a consultant.  Chris has been invited to give a talk there on &#8220;Argument schemes in monologue and dialogue&#8221;. The monologic\/dialogic link is one which the ARG group at Dundee is particularly focused on right now, building on a <a href=\"http:\/\/babbage.computing.dundee.ac.uk\/chris\/publications\/2007\/ossa2007.pdf\">paper<\/a> by Chris and <a href=\"http:\/\/io.uwinnipeg.ca\/~walton\/\">Doug Walton<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/web2.uwindsor.ca\/cpa\/OSSA\/conference2007\/index.htm\">OSSA 2007<\/a>, and the more recent AIF+ paper presented at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irit.fr\/comma08\/\">COMMA.<\/a> Tomorrow will be an opportunity to explore these ideas in an evidential context.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is a small meeting tomorrow at the Computer Science Department at the University of Liverpool on Argument and Evidence, organised by Floris Bex.
